How One CEO Grew From $225k to $921k Per Month in 2020

“So, What Was The Biggest “Switch” That Led To Your Growth?”

Here was his response:

So I'd compare it to more of a snowball over time.

You gain momentum but because you start as a smaller snowball even though you may be doubling & growing, it's not as large to the untrained eye.

However, you know that the momentum you're building will compound & become bigger & bigger as you keep learning & succeeding!

Much like Compound Interest – the growth starts off looking slow until the compounding really starts to show & exponential growth occurs!

I've actually been a T&F client since December 2016, when Taylor actually enrolled me himself haha – that's how long ago it was!

At the time it was all about building up to $20k months, like a lot of people who start their ClientKit/Elite journey may be going after.

Then over time as I hit milestones I kept increasing my goals – $50k, $100k, $200k, $500k, 8 Figures, now $1,000,000/mo!

The thing I think it's important to show is that although I have grown now to bigger goals, I started out exactly where everyone else did here in Elite!

The difference? I kept learning, growing & stayed in the environment!

I've seen a lot of people come & go in that time, and countless people achieve success, but what fewer people do is COMPOUND that success to keep growing.

That's where you get the Exponential Growth – by compounding what you learn over time!

I'm still doing the same things I did at the beginning, I am showing up, taking action, learning & compounding my growth by stacking what I learned with the momentum I achieve!

Milestone 1: “300k Revenue Crossed In February!!”

Aleric reported his first $300k revenue milestone to us in our Elite client group.

I wanted to take a second to reflect & then #Normalize so I can keep crushing bigger & better goals.

First the Breakdown:

So what are the lessons that got me here?

But here's secret, you need to become the CEO at the right time…

When I first started out in CK, over 3 years ago now haha, I tried to become the “ceo” too early. I hired a big team (my college friends) and wanted to delegate everything.

I had to learn back then, that it is a PROCESS, and before you can truly become the CEO, you need to DO THE WORK first.

And that's what I did over time, and over the past 3 years I've been delegating more and more responsibility.

Until now I have many facets to my business I oversee…

– Full Sales Team (2 Advisors, 2 Specialists + 2 more training)

– Full Client Success Team (Client Success Director, Copywriter, Client Concierge && I just hired a new Ads Coach + 2nd Copywriter)

– Operations Team (mainly myself as CEO with my Head of Operations. + an Executive Assistant coming this month)

The only area I am directly executing on, without the help of a team, is Marketing.

But that is what I LOVE to do & that is my Zone of Genius.

Even this, I am planning on hiring an apprentice for soon.

So what is my Role Now?

It's to be the CEO — Performing on a Higher Level

Assembling & Empowering my Team to Succeed.

Pushing them to be the best team they can be.

And that is how I can make sure we hit our goals & stay true to our mission.

This has me on track for my 2020 Goals:

$300k/mo average Q1

$400k/mo average Q2

$500k/mo average Q3

$600k/mo average Q4

But I've also found a lot of MOTIVATION behind a new goal..

I've already helped my CLIENTS generate over 8 Figures in High Ticket Sales with YouTube Ads…

My new goal is to take that number, Client Revenue, to 9 Figures this YEAR!

And that is an incredibly motivating goal to have!

Milestone 2: “We hit a RECORD $450,000 Booked Revenue in May!”

Next, Aleric crossed his first $450k revenue milestone. Here is his story:

MAJOR WIN: We hit a RECORD $450,000 Booked Revenue in May! Surpassing our Goal! ($363k Cash Collected)

I wanted to share some lessons I learned & insights that helped me hit this major milestone, I've had several breakthroughs that played a key role in getting here!

Our previous record was $348k, so hitting $450k was literally topping ourselves by $100k of revenue!

The biggest thing I learned this past month:

To Re-Simplify the Goal & as the CEO to steer the ship towards those simplified goals.

I set 2 goals for myself last month:

1) Keep my Advisors fully booked Every Day.

2) Keep my Advisors Close % Dialed In

I knew if I achieved just those 2 VERY SIMPLE things, I would hit at least $400k.

Why?

Because I did the math, and instead of overcomplicating things I kept it simple.

If both of these 2 things are true.

If we keep our 3 Advisors (now 4 in June ) calendars full. AND they close at at least 20% (although my ideal was > 25%)…

I KNOW they will hit the projection laid out for them.

Because it would be physically impossible not too.

If we didn't hit the goal it would've come down to one of those 2 factors. The calendar being full or Close %.

Now I know this seems like “The Basics” but honestly as you grow bigger and bigger it's easy to get bogged down in the ‘vanity metrics' & in complicated tracking & systems.

But at the end of the day what produces revenues is…

The number of approved (vetted) calls & the close rate on those calls.

So as the High Level CEO, I set it out as my responsibility to make sure my team, my Marketing & Sales Team executed at their peak performance in order to make sure we hit these metrics.

For me, being the YT Ads guy haha, the marketing was the easy part.

In May we got over 500 applications which made it simple to ensure the calendars were full.

What I focused more problem solving time on was the Sales side of things and making sure I was on my Daily Sales Team meetings motivating both my Specialist & Advisor teams.

We worked with the resources we had for training and I provided insight and training as well. 

I made sure to do energy temp checks & remind our Advisors of the fundamentals.

All of this combined to keep the Sales Team on point throughout this process.

Although there's still definitely improvements we're working on making.

Ultimately simplifying the whole Revenue & Sales process has really helped to make it clear on what I needed to do to steer the ship and hit not only our goals but stretch goals!

Don't get me wrong I'm working on Client Success and Operational tasks.

I even built out an entirely new module for our clients this month.

But my core focus, and top priority as CEO has been making sure we hit the metrics we need to hit as that is the lifeblood of the business.

And WHEN we do that again this month I know we'll be able to hit $500k!

Time to hit $500k/mo & beyond!

Milestone 3: “We hit another Record Revenue Month: $762,000 in August!”

When $762k in revenue was crossed in August, Aleric couldn’t help but share his learning lessons with that epic win:

“𝗛𝗨𝗚𝗘 𝗪𝗶𝗻𝘀 & 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗟𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗔𝘂𝗴𝘂𝘀𝘁!

𝗪𝗲 𝗵𝗶𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗥𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗿𝗱 𝗥𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘂𝗲 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗵: $𝟳𝟲𝟮,𝟬𝟬𝟬 𝗶𝗻 𝗔𝘂𝗴𝘂𝘀𝘁!

This is actually our 4th consecutive record-breaking month & we’ve nearly doubled in size over the last 4 months since beginning this growth streak!

I wanted to share my learning lessons from the last month to both document the journey & hopefully help & inspire you on your journey as well!

I’ll also include some of the things I am putting in place to set our team on the fast track for $1 Million Months!

Without further ado, here’s my August 2020 Lessons Recap:

𝗪𝗲 𝗕𝘂𝗶𝗹𝘁 𝗶𝗻 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗴𝗶𝗻𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗢𝗿𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗼 𝗦𝘁𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗮 𝗥𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗿𝗱 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗵 (𝗱𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗶𝘁𝗲 𝗸𝗻𝗼𝘄𝗻 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝘁𝘀)

This was a key factor this month for us.

I knew coming into this month we had a MAJOR CONSTRAINT, our Top Advisor, David, had his second Daughter this month!

Which is incredibly exciting & it always makes me feel proud to be running a business that supports families! (Honestly, it’s pretty surreal when I think about it!)

So I wanted to make sure to give him the time off he needed to support his wife, new daughter and family.

But at the same time, it’s a business challenge because he’s consistently been the one bringing in the bulk of the revenue.

Consistently producing $200-250k per month HIMSELF.

So I knew with him gone we’d be in for a challenge, but one I was 100% sure we could tackle.

See here’s the thing…

I remember a valuable piece of wisdom I got from Chris at the Dominican Sales Event last year…

“Build in Margin”

It’s a simple saying, but it is so essential for hitting goals.

Things WILL come up. Whether they’re planned like David having another child, or something coming up & happening, all of this needs to be BUILT IN.

By this I mean, you need to build Margin into your numbers, your goals, your projections.

It would have been far too easy for me to say “well we’ve had 3 months of growth, David’s off this month so I’m fine with a down month”

Or to not factor it in at all “let’s keep going as normal and pretend nothings different”

BUT both of those would have sabotaged our results.

I KNEW that I wanted to & could hit the goal I laid out, $750,000 in August, despite these constraints.

But I also knew I had to build in Margin to make that happen.

I set our PROJECTION as $750k and our GOAL as $800k even despite knowing the constraints we had.

And by doing this I knew I’d ingrain in my team the floor was $750k not the ceiling.

I also doubled down on our advertising, increasing our ad budget EVEN THOUGH my Top Advisor was away.

How easy would it have been to use that as an excuse to keep my budget the same or even lower it?

But the problem is that’s what people do to “be safe” but not what people do “to grow”

And I KNEW that if we could grow during these constraints, by the time David came back, we’d be in an EVEN STRONGER place than we were before.

𝗜 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗱 & 𝗥𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝗮𝗹𝗲𝘀 𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗺 𝘁𝗼 𝗢𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗮 𝗣𝗲𝗮𝗸 𝗣𝗲𝗿𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲

Because of the constraints, I knew I had last month, I knew I needed to rally the rest of my Advisor team to operate at their own peak performance.

I painted the picture of them individually hitting their own goals, giving them a chance to prove that they can carry the team collectively even without the top producer at his usual pace.

And I made sure that they had all of the resources and support they needed to make it happen.

But from the first day of the month until the last, I instilled in my team the vision & reality that they are all collectively our “Sales DREAM TEAM.”

And that together we will hit these goals – not a question of “if” but “will”

And that steadfast leadership was essential in helping them perform at their peak level.

But it also showed that I TRUSTED the team.

I showed them that I wasn’t worried about the fact that David was off calls for a couple weeks, because I knew that they would step up.

And that’s exactly what they did.

I’ve found more and more in business that the concept of self-fulfilling prophecies tend to come true.

𝗧𝗵𝗮𝘁’𝘀 𝘄𝗵𝘆 𝘁𝗵𝗼𝘀𝗲 𝘄𝗵𝗼 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗠𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗢𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗰 𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝗲𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗠𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗦𝘂𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀.

I’d recommend writing that one down

𝗜 𝗗𝗶𝗮𝗹𝗲𝗱 𝗶𝗻 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗦𝗽𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘀𝘁 𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗺 & 𝗦𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘇𝗲𝗱 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗢𝘂𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗦𝘂𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀

For the past few months I’ve been having our team Dial Every Lead that registers for our webinar and it’s been working great!

But I noticed that as my Specialist team has grown, to over 8 people!

There weren’t clear SOPs on exactly how the outreach should be done.

Sure, everyone was provided trainings and they were getting results.

But I wanted to know how I could transfer the high level performance of our top specialists to the rest of the team.

So I set my top-performing specialist, sales coordinator & head of Ops on a mission to build out SOPs, systems and scripts for exactly how to maximize Sets & Sets Closed.

I see our Specialists as an integral part of our sales team & I feel with the right team members in place and the right SOPs it’s the key to our entire sales team performing at the highest level.

Our specialist team played a key role in August’s $762k record breaking month, and I have no doubt it will play a key role in our upcoming $1 Million Months!

𝗜 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗺𝘆 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗧𝗮𝗹𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗺𝘆 𝗡𝗲𝘄 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗺

Believe it or not, I got to this point, over $750k+ /mo basically running all my own YouTube Ads!

Which was something I used to take great pride in, and of course I still do take pride in my abilities.

But I now know that running my own ads like this while being CEO just isn’t sustainable or scalable.

I actually shared this in more detail in my last update from July.

So over the past month I’ve been training up a new Media Buyer in my unique methods of YouTube Ads and it has been incredible watching him implement my strategies & learn so fast!

I’ve also hired another media buyer with many years of experience in coaching funnels that I’m excited to introduce to our YouTube Ads methods & get him dialed in as well.

Now that I have a Marketing Team, my efforts have far more LEVERAGE than before.

They can still use my YouTube Ads strategies, but to a greater extent because of the time that they have!

This has been a game-changer indeed!

𝗜 𝗺𝗮𝗱𝗲 𝗮 𝗡𝗲𝘄 𝗪𝗲𝗯𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗗𝗼𝘂𝗯𝗹𝗲𝗱 𝗗𝗼𝘄𝗻 𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗖𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗖𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 – 𝗖𝗼𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗲𝘀, 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘀𝘂𝗹𝘁𝗮𝗻𝘁𝘀 & 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗲 𝗖𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘀

One thing that I realized in one of my Higher Level Thinking sessions is that a large portion of our clients are Coaches, Consultants & Course creators

But our overall webinar, although high-converting, caters to  YouTube Ads in general & overall all businesses.

I wanted to ensure that I had a funnel dedicated to this key market I serve.

So I spent time developing a brand new webinar…

“How To Create an ‘Infinite Pipeline' of Coaching & Consulting Clients Using YouTube Ads”

And it’s already Massively paying off!

This way I can speak directly to my core clientele and show them case studies, examples & show exactly how they can get more clients from YouTube Ads.

Which has allowed me to specifically target more coaches, consultants & course creators so we can do what we do best — help them get more clients with YouTube Ads!

𝗜 𝗳𝗼𝗰𝘂𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗼𝗻 𝗗𝗶𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝗻 𝗔𝗟𝗟 𝟰 𝗣𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗿𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗺𝘆 𝗕𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗦𝗼 𝗜 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝗯𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗙𝘂𝗹𝗹 𝗖𝗘𝗢

I’ve been focusing a lot on truly becoming the CEO & thinking high level.

That’s why I’ve been seeing my business as 4 key pillars and I’ve been focusing on growing & dialing in each pillar individually.

  • Sales Team

  • Operations

  • Marketing Team

  • Client Success

By separating my business into 4 key pillars and building each of these up individually I’ve been able to really focus on what each area of my business needs.

This is an ongoing process but one that I have been really focusing on building out so that I can truly have a full company with all 4 departments firing on all cylindars — I call them all my “Dream Teams”

𝗜 𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗱 𝗺𝘆 𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗺 𝗼𝗳 𝗪𝗛𝗬 𝘄𝗲’𝗿𝗲 𝗱𝗼𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘄𝗲’𝗿𝗲 𝗱𝗼𝗶𝗻𝗴 – 𝘁𝗼 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗟𝗶𝘃𝗲𝘀 & 𝗕𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗲𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗖𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀

A key component of leadership is to start with WHY.

I’ve been reading & listening to Simon Sinek recently where he talks about his “Golden Circle” and how the greatest leaders in the world inspire action by starting with “Why”

That’s an internal shift I’ve made in my leadership & with my team.

I’ve always been client-focused and results-oriented

But I realized that I may not have been echoing that enough to my team and reminding them, even in posts like this post, that YES, we have our own revenue goals…

But it’s NOT about Revenue…

It’s about IMPACT.

The equation changes greatly when you start to think about your Marketing, Sales, Client Success, Operations — every aspect of your business as how it can affect your clients lives & businesses.

We’ve literally transformed our clients lives.

One of our clients Johnathan, recently gave a testimonial where he talked about how he almost quit his business & got a 9-5, until he joined our program.

Where he had his first $10,000 month from YouTube Ads, then $30-40,000 month, then $30,000 week and $100,000+ month!

That level of transformation is why I love what I do & what I live for.

It’s my WHY

And the team members that I want on my team are the team members that are attracted by that same WHY — a love of helping our clients succeed and transform their lives through YouTube Ads & the opportunities a good pipeline of leads/clients provides.

So now that I’ve defined this as our Team’s WHY, here’s what happens in their minds:

They think…

When they’re running an ad — how can I ensure I reach the right people who truly need my help?

When I’m on a Sales Call, it’s not just about whether I ‘get the sale’ it’s about whether I change & transform a business (& life) for the better with YouTube Ads… or not.

When I’m dialing a list of phone call leads, it’s not about how many answer or don’t.

It’s about whether I reached someone who I setup an advisor call with who otherwise may have stayed stuck.

When I’m helping clients on an Ad Clinic call, it’s not about the action, it’s about the results they’ll get when their campaigns take off & bring in the opportunity they need to thrive & grow.

And even myself, as CEO, when I think about getting to $1 Million Months in my business, it’s not just about a number, it’s about my desire to bring this marketing strategy, our YouTube Ads, that I know will help our clients reach their goals to more people than ever before!

Starting with Why & Leading with Why has had a dramatic impact on how our team views success and gives us a real, tangible rock solid reason to ensure we hit our goals… so we can help more clients hit theirs!

So these are all the lessons I learned in August in order to hit a Record $762,000+ Revenue Month!

I’ll be applying these & undoubtedly learning more in order to continue to grow and hit $1 Million Months!
